acer aspire One D260Acer prioritized looks and portability above longevity in the D260, but this netbook manages to be charming even with its below-average battery life. Acer is shipping the Acer Aspire One D260 with Google Android and Windows 7 in a dual-booting configuration. Aspire D260 is an updated version of the immensely popular Acer Aspire D250 netbook.  The Acer D260 top surface is frosting finish by painting processors, avoiding leaving fingerprint, and looking more compact.

the Acer Aspire D260 netbook powered with Atom N450 with 1GB of DDR2 RAM or Atom N455 with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, both with Intel GMA 3150 graphics and You can choose between a 160GB or 250GB hard drive. The Intel atom N455 version will benefit from a larger six-cell battery (with life of eight hours quoted), and a higher resolution display. You have a choice between a 3-cell battery for up to 4 hours of run time, or a 6-cell battery for up to 8 hours. That’s a good twenty percent less than we usually consider acceptable for a netbook of this type. The picture on the Acer Aspire One D260 glossy 10.1 inch 1024 x 600-pixel display was bright and crisp when surfing the web and viewing images. Though there was plenty of detail when watching standard-definition episodes of Lost, narrow viewing angles and reflections during dark scenes made the overall experience less enjoyable.

Acer Aspire One D260 laptop retains the ability to change from his predecessor’s Android operating system to Windows 7. with Windows 7, you can be sure that all its features are going to turn your mobile computer experience into a very pleasant one, because everything is very easy to use you can be certain of this thing. The Wi-Fi features as well as the 3G and the Bluetooth make sure that you keep in touch with all your closest ones and that you maintain video conferences. You are able to connect this mini laptop to the Internet via Wi-Fi CERTIFIED technology, optional Fast Ethernet or 3G. The included Acer Crystal Eye webcam and built in microphone are going to prove very useful when you want to have a video conference with someone who is on the other side of the country, and even on the other side of the world.

Weighing just 2.6 pounds and measuring 10.2 x 7.3 x 0.9 inches, the Acer Aspire D260 feels feather-light. It is may not be equipped with all the components of a normal netbook, but this netbook has a keyboard 93% standard-size of a regular notebook keyboard and it comes with large keys for comfortable typing and multi-gesture touchpad for navigation without a mouse. The keyboard, although type with chiclet keys isolated as the latest Acer Netbook, however, has larger dimensions that make typing comfortable and eficace as on a notebook. The kit hardware and software is skimpy, as usual for cheap miniPC. The light matte gray finish of the lid extends to the deck surrounding the Fine Tip keyboard, and is interrupted only by a gently glowing blue power button at the top and four status LEDs on the bottom left.acer aspire D260
