Acer previously shed some light on its upcoming Chrome OS netbook, and now Acer has released the Acer ZGA netbook based on Chrome OS.
Acer ZGA powered with Intel Atom N455 processor, 1GB of RAM, a webcam, 8GB SanDisk pSSD, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an ambient light sensor (for screen dimming, or possibly a backlit keyboard), and a Synaptics touchpad. Synaptics makes all sorts of touchpads, but is best known for its higher-end innovations, such as the MacBook-style clickpads found in the HP Envy series.
Specifications, price, and features still have room to change, but the ZGA netbook was already in the final, but PVT run (Product Verification Test) could point to this Acer ZGA being almost ready for actual production. The process takes just weeks and could see the finished product ship as soon as September.
