ASUSTEK has said that Eee Tablet is due for release in October and will running on Windows 7. The ASUS Eee Tablet is most certainly meant as a competitor to the iPad as it’s so lightweight (as in software and hardware).
ASUS plans on selling the device with subsidies from wireless carriers, and is currently in negotiations, the ASUS Company said. The Eee Tablet is very much different from the company’s tablet which is the Eee Pad. While the Eee Pad device is intended for internet access, watching videos and other multimedia uses, computing and as an e-reader, ASUS Eee Tablet is a more educational tool and will serve as half e-reader, half note taker, and part on a played product category.
The ASUS Eee tablet is a digital notebook having an 8-inch display screen with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution made by Chimei Innolux (CMI), a MicroSD card slot, USB port and 2,450 dpi input sensitivity touch screen. The Eee Tablet sports a fairly amazing refresh rate of one tenth of a second plus a 2MP camera for snapping shots. Couple that with a 10 hour battery life on a single charge.
The ASUS Eee tablet is considered as one of the world’s most accurate and sensitive note taking device and gives the users the feel of writing on a paper. Writing notes to them as well as interpreting is as easy as writing on an ordinary paper however using a stylus. The main focus of the Eee Tablet is the notepad ability. It serves best in text and eBooks reading considering that it has the capability of turning pages just 0.1 seconds on a backlight-less TFT-LCD offering 64-level of grey and will be priced at $599.
