Asus has launched another netbook to their popular Eee PC range, the New Asus Eee PC 1001PX. The ASUS Eee PC 1001PX appears to be pretty similar to the ASUS’ Eee PC 1015 model and Eee PC 1001P, but you will find 1001PX a completely different package. The information is that these new Netbooks would land up in two different versions. The first version would run on the Windows XP and the Another version comes with Windows 7. The Eee PC 1001PX powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor. This ensures decent power and trustworthy stability.
The Eee PC 1001PX version model coming with a 160GB hard drive and 5-hour battery life, while the Windows 7 version will have a 6 cell battery and 250GB hard drive, and also carries a Six-cell battery which would give the battery life up to 9 hours. Both models will have a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 Pine Trail processor, GMA 3150 graphics, 10 inch screen, and 1GB of RAM. The Eee PC 1001PX Windows XP model and Windows 7 model also has features three USB 2.0 ports, VGA out, 802.11 b/g WiFi, a 0.3 megapixel web camera, 10/100 Ethernet, weighs around 1KG and measures 262 x 178 x 25.9 – 36.5mm, and a multi format card reader.
When launched, ASUS Eee PC 1001PX is expected that the Windows 7 Home will cost $406 and with the XP model model costing $326. Launch will happen over in Italy and it isn’t known if other countries will get this variation of this Eee.
