The AsuS NX90 a new Notebook from Asus. This Notebook was a collaboration between Asus and a Bang & Olufsen subsidiary called ICEpower. B&O is a Danish gadget company known for catering to a certain kind of customer–the kind that’s not afraid to spend a lot of money on a piece of hardware just because it looks cool. Bang & Olufsen have lent the NX90 its brilliant ICEpower audio technology. Having this inside means that the laptop is the best audio performer in the market. The speakers are situated on the outside of the chassis and have great curved look. Even on the crowded and rather noisy show-floor, the sound mas more than impressive.
Coming with an unique pair of speaker boxes that cover the display like a border, the ASUS NX90 is probably the company’s most luxurious media center device. Designed by B&O chief, David Lewis, the stylish NX90 is made of polished aluminum metals, features a 18.4-inch widescreen delivering full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, has two touchpads to the sides of the keyboard each with its own pair of physical mouse buttons. The trackpad on this laptop is invisible–its built right into the shiny wrist pad, but there are also two more touch pads on either side of the keyboard. The keyboard is full sized, and the speakers hang over the sides of the screen like monoliths. Specs include Intel Quad Core i7, 1080p display with Blu-ray player, ATI HD5870. The ASUS company says the series’ design was inspired by music instruments and the Bauhaus architecture philosophy. The ASUS NX90 has a powerful beast, with an Intel Core i7 CPU, an Nvidia GeForce GT 335M graphics card to make the most of the 1080p display, plus dual hard drives and a Blu-ray drive.
The ASUS NX90 should be available some time this summer, with US prices starting around the $2,000 (£1,250) mark.
