Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 review, specs, price

Dell has launched a new version of the Inspiron Mini 10 netbook in Europe, named new Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 which is based on the Intel Pine Trail platform with support for DDR3. This enable new generation laptops to increase the advanced multimedia capabilities.

The Inspiron Mini 1018 boasts an Intel Atom N455, which has a clock speed of 1.66 GHz (instead of the NVIDIA ION 2 GPU), 1GB of DDR3 memory, the GMA (Graphics Media Accelerator) 3150 integrated graphics, Intel NM10 Express, a 10.1 inches screen with LED backlight TrueLife with WSVGA resolution in 1024 × 600 pixels, and a hard disk drive of either 160GB or 250GB storage space.

Other specification of The Dell Mini 1018 include a 0.3 megapixel webcam, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,  Ethernet LAN (10/100 Mbps), a 3-in-1 media card reader, and options for either a 3-cell or 6-cell battery, and for a life of up to 7 hours and 18 minutes per charge.

This Dell Inspiron 1018 is slimmer with 92 percent sized keyboard and high-gloss black finish and sports a shiny black finish on the display lid. With a slim profile for computing in compact spaces and a starting at weight of less than 1.2kg (2.66 lbs), you can bring the ultra-portable Inspiron Mini 101 with you everywhere you go.

As of now the Inspiron Mini 1018 is available in Europe, or more specifically it has been spotted on both the UK and Italian Dell websites. Otherwise, as of now no mention of a US release. The Inspiron Mini 1018 run with Windows 7 Starter Edition and has a base price tag of €279 / £299 or about $358.
