Dell has announced and launched the new Dell Latitude 2110 that is a netbook aimed at business-and-education oriented. New netbook that is featured with Wimax and comes in a bulky and semi-rugged design. New Latitude 2110 has a compact, ultraportable computing solution or a secondary PC for staying in touch on the road.

The new Dell 2110 netbook has a 10.1 inch screen running either a 1024 x 600 or 1366 x 768 pixel display. As well as being able to choose between two screen resolutions when purchasing, you can also opt for a touchscreen. Touch-screen functionality is available only on the lower resolution display. The Dell Latitude 2110 is sporting an Intel wireless card with support for 802.11b/g/n WiFi and WiMAX connectivity. which is why it has made the trip over to the FCC. WiMAX is a popular option both for education and business customers looking for a way to make laptops useful at work, school, and home, and on the go.

Powering the netbook is a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N470 processor and powering the graphics side of things is a Broadcom Crystal HD Accelerator that can support resolutions of up to 1080p playback. The 2110 also sports an optional 2MP web camera, stereo speakers, microphone, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, Dell 5540 HSPA mobile broadband, three USB ports, a 3-in-1 media card reader, and a VGA output. You can choose a 3-cell or a 6-cell battery, and there are also 160/250 GB HDD options.

The Dell Latitude 2100 has a full keyboard and it seems only slightly smaller than a standard laptop keyboard. Again, for quick edits or entering values in the configuration page on the web interface for a new copier the keyboard is fine but not so much for writing, say, a term paper. It comes in three colors – Chalkboard Black, Schoolhouse Red, and Blue Ribbon.
