Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is the first Dell-made products that use Intel’s Atom N450 chip. The Inspiron Mini 10 continues to offer some of the best mobile entertainment options available in a great-looking, compact and lightweight design,” said Brian Pitstick, general manager of Dell’s mobile products. “With an even better look and great battery life, we think Mini 10 is the perfect companion PC for anyone who wants to be entertained and connected wherever they go ”. The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 will be available in seven colors: black, white, blue, purple, red, green, and pink. Or you can also personalize the colour Dell Inspiron Mini 10n in Dell design studio, with more than 200 design options to choose from.

The new Dell Mini 10 has a new design keyboard features keys with raised areas. The result is that the keys almost touch each other, but there’s space between the typing surface of each key. In order to increase the surface area of the touchpad, Dell integrated the left and right buttons directly into the touchpad itself. Instead of pushing a separate button to click, you press down on the bottom right or bottom left corner of the touchpad. Dell has also chosen to drop support for multitouch gestures. You can scroll up and down and left to right by moving your finger over the right or bottom edges of the touchpad. But there’s no support for two-finger scrolling or pinching to zoom.

The Dell Mini 10 can use a prismatic lithium-ion battery that squeezes in six cells rather than the three cells of the ordinary battery – all without adding any bulk to the chassis. The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is also available with a 3 cell, 28Whr battery which should be good for around 4 to 4.5 hours of run time or 6 cell, 56Whr batteries. In fact, most versions of the Inspiron Mini 10 will ship with 6 cell batteries.new dell-mini-10 picture

Dell Inspiron Mini 10 include a Broadcom Crystal HD chip. Despite the fact the new Dell Mini 10 is based on Intel’s Pine Trail platform, which includes improved graphics to help play back video along with the faster, Hyper-Threaded 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, Dell claims the Broadcom chip is needed to ensure smooth HD playback. In this case, HD means 720p: the entertainment bundle will include a 1,366 x 768 screen rather than the usual 1,024 x 600. Dell is continuing its trend of offering more customization options than just about any other netbook vendor. That includes Bluetooth, 3G, and GPS options, as well as a number of entertainment-focused options including a higher resolution 1366 x 768 pixel display, a Broadcom Crystal HD Media Accelerator, and a built-in TV tuner.
