Dell has announced a new line of Vostro notebooks for business users called the 3000 series. The Dell Vostro 3000 series laptops is made affordable for small businesses which made up of four models. The 13.3-inch (Vostro 3300), the 14.0-inch (Vostro 3400), the 15.6-inch (Vostro3500) and the 17.3-inch (Vostro 3700).
The new Dell 3000 series comes with webcams and microphones for videoconferencing, NVIDIA discrete graphics cards, HDMI ports for presentations and serious processing power at the high end of the spectrum. The new Vostro 3000 will feature integrated webcams and microphones for video conferencing, WiFi, and optional wireless modems and Bluetooth. Up to 6GB of DDR3 RAM is supported and optional fingerprint readers for security are available.
The Dell Vostro 3300 is a 13-inch notebook claiming to be the thinnest in the industry that still offers an optical drive. Dell Vostro 3400 is designed for battery life with a eight hours of run time with an optional 9-cell battery.
The Dell Vostro 3000 series will be offered with Core i3, i5, and i7 processors and will sell for $788 (Dell Vostro 3300), the Dell Vostro 3400 starting at $768, the Dell Vostro 3500 for $768, and the Dell Vostro 3700 machine in $798. All prices include a year of Dell ProSupport and CompleteCare. The New Vostro series is available in the US right now and will hit Europe later this month.
