HP just introduces the new HP Pavilion dm1z series. the Pavilion dm1z is an ultraportable which is a follow up to the HP dm1 that was released this past May 2010. This Laptop is lightest Pavilion laptop. It’s extremely slim but also a full-function best Notebook.

This thin and light HP dm1z laptop features an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and an AMD chipset and available with a choice of an AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor running at 1.7 GHz, an AMD Athlon II Neo Dual-Core K325 processor running at 1.3 GHz, or an AMD Turion II Neo Dual-Core K625 processor running at 1.5Ghz. Either this laptop is backed up by up to 5GB of RAM and is paired with the ATI mobility Radeon HD 4225 graphics driving an 11.6-inch LED-backlit display, whose native resolution is of 1366 x 768 pixels (HD) and an HDMI output.

You can also expect to find support for 1080p HD content, Altec Lansing speakers, VGA, three USB 2.0 ports, 5-in-1 memory card reader and a 6-cell Lithium Ion battery that is said to be able to offer up to 5.25 hours of run time. As for size and weight, those include measurements of 11.4 in (L) x 8.03 in (W) x 0.78-1.20 in (H) inches and a weight of 3.24 pounds (1.47 Kg).

The Pavilion dm1z thin and light notebook also comes with 2GB to 5GB of DDR3 memory and 7200RPM hard drives ranging in size from 250GB to 500GB. There’s also a 128GB solid state disc option. the HP dm1z series is equipped with all the necessary connectivity and I/O options, such as 10/100 Ethernet, optional Bluetooth, a built-in Webcam, a 5-in-1 card reader, and WiFi.

HP Company even threw in a 92% full-size keyboard, for better comfort while typing in this HP Pavilion dm1z. The Pavilion dm1z Laptop can be pre-loaded with Windows7 Home Premium 64bit or Professional 64bit and has a starting price tag of $450.
